SUMIT 2020
April 4 and 5, 2020
Location: MIT

We will be rebuilding our SUMIT development team after losing it do to the length of the pandemic. We'll be back!

We regret that SUMIT 2020 has been cancelled. On March 5, 2020, MIT released its policy on COVID-19 and in order to comply, we regrettably have no choice but to cancel SUMIT 2020. We were so looking forward to engaging participants with exciting and fun mathematical challenges and we are sorry for any disappointment this causes. Registration fees will be refunded.

What is SUMIT?

SUMIT is a fun, fully collaborative, mathematically intense event for girls. Participants must self-organize and work together to overcome mathematical challenges toward a common overall goal. SUMIT is a stage for participants to be the heroines in their own mathematical saga.

SUMITs are large-scale Math Collaborations. SUMIT 2019 was the 4th SUMIT and took place April 6 and 7, 2019 at the Buckinham, Browne, and Nichols Middle School. SUMIT 2018 was the 3rd installment of SUMIT and took place on February 3 and 4, 2018 at the Broad Institute. SUMIT 2012 and SUMIT 2013 took place at MIT. So far, all SUMITs have received an average overall rating of 10 out of 10 from participants!
