About the Organizers: Girls' Angle and USWIM
|
At our club, girls work directly with mentors, largely
women on the mathematics career path, including undergraduate math
majors, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in mathematics. Our
instruction is custom-tailored to the individual. Our main goal is to
help girls improve the way they think using mathematics as an ideal
vehicle. We aim to prepare girls to solve the yet unsolved.

About the Undergraduate Society for Women in
Mathematics The goal of USWIM is to create a community of women who
enjoy mathematics. We provide a welcoming environment for the women in
the mathematics department here at MIT. We create a supportive network
of women helping each other to succeed. We strive to make women in
mathematics aware of the various opportunities and resources available
to them. As USWIM continues to grow, we are expanding our role in the
community working to inspire young girls' interest in mathematics.
